Centro
Sociale
Vincenziano
Beautiful things are everything.
And they should be for everyone.
Since 1974 the Centro Sociale Vincenziano has been helping the homeless in Rome.
Helping also means just listening to whoever is in need, offering a hot cup of coffee or the possibility of having a shower.
The volunteers of the Centre do this every month for hundreds of people that are forgotten by the rest of society.
These services are often forgotten by non-profit organisations because there is no way to ever make them self-sustaining. But to us, these services are important for improving the dignity of these people.
We believe that the non-profit sector should also recognise the importance of these projects even though they will never be self-sustaining. The Centro Sociale Vincenziano needs our support.
Therefore, we have decided to actively support this complex situation, providing economic and administrative help to the centre.
THE INTERVENTION
OF THE FONDAZIONE
CHARLEMAGNE

First of all, we decided to assist the Centre in Via A. Farnese in Rome to improve the activities of support for Italian and foreign homeless men and women. By stimulating the work of the social services, these people can be helped before they have more serious difficulties, by creating personalized projects that aid them in regaining social inclusion.
Secondly, we were able to improve the conditions of the homeless by giving them a comfortable environment, providing breakfast and snacks, showers, clothing, recreation and an intercultural library.
In addition, we have provided accommodation at Casa Luciana for Italian and foreign single mothers with children.
